Vivo Y55 was the latest to land in Pakistan while the brand consistently tries to keep its brand fresh and in memory by introducing new smartphones every once in a while. But sometimes, instead of making the phone from scratch, they reintroduce it. The same thing is happening here with the new Y77e.
Vivo has just announced Vivo Y77e — reintroduced from Y77. Only the name, the processor, and the cameras are different. There's nothing else to tell them apart. Here's a summary of the new handset's contents.
Vivo's Y77 had MediaTek Dimensity 930 chip, while Y77e will deal with performance using Dimensity 810 SoC. That's the highlighting difference. The Y77e will give you three storage plus memory combos, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB.
We have a decently sized 6.58" OLED panel on the front with an FHD+ (or 1080 x 2408 pixels) resolution. The phone has a surprisingly low screen-to-body ratio of 90.6%. The screen can do a 60hz refresh rate, but the 180Hz touch sampling rate livens up the experience. The V-notch up front houses the selfie cam.
Rolling the phone around, we see a design similar to Vivo's Y77, not to say that it's unimpressive. The all-new Y77e's rear cameras live inside a rectangular plate extruding out. Edges seem flattened, and the design of the new addition to the Vivo price list looks uniform, with the volume rocker and fingerprint scanner popping out of the right edge.
Vivo Y77e's camera is an underwhelming dual-lens setup. The phone pairs the 13MP main module with a 2MP macro unit. You can snap selfies with front fitted 8MP camera. Both cameras will record 1080p videos at a 30FPS rate.
The phone runs on Android 12 x Origin OS Ocean skin and has a solid 5000 mAh battery pack. You get the support for 18W charging to juice up the cell. Vivo will paint the Y77e in three colors Crystal Black, Crystal Powder, and Summer Listening.
