The Vivo Y78 recently graced the stage in China, marking its much-anticipated debut. Customary to their routine, Vivo has now unveiled a global iteration of this device in Singapore. While bearing the same name, the international Y78 variant offers more enticing specifications and hardware.

Stepping into the global arena, Vivo Y78 bears a larger size and embraces a different chipset, aligning it closer to the Y78+ released in April. It's also worth noting that they are not exact replicas either; the newcomer boasts higher specs. Let’s dive into the features offered by the Global Y78.

Embracing an expansive 6.78-inch display with a mesmerizing 120Hz AMOLED panel and a vibrant FHD+ resolution in a 20:9 aspect ratio, the global Y78 offers a curved screen embued into an IP54-rated chassis. Also hidden under the screen is a fingerprint reader.

Driving the performance of Y78 is the Snapdragon 695 chipset. It empowers the with seamless 5G connectivity. Accompanying the chipset is a commendable 8GB of RAM, augmented by the possibility of an additional 8GB of virtual RAM for better multitasking.

Additionally, Y78 Global has a generous 256GB of internal storage, albeit without the option for expansion through an external SD card. It runs the latest FuntouchOS 13 x Android 13 operating system by default. Under the shell lies a 5000mAh battery wired to a 44W charging kit. Vivo is yet to unveil the price of this device.
