Xiaomi’s flagship series launched as a China-first line last year. And the Xiaomi 12 series is now heading to the global market. This month, the trio will drop worldwide, featuring the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X. Here is the launch timeline.
The Xiaomi 12 series will make its international debut in Europe and India on March 15. We expect it to roll out in neighboring Asian markets, including Pakistan, soon after. Xiaomi also has the Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Ultra editions lined up for a launch this year, per the rumor mill.
Xiaomi perfectly streamlined and homogenized the design of its new flagship series. The Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro look identical except for their dimensions. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip powers both these phones. The charging speed on the Xiaomi 12 Pro peaks at a whopping 120W. But the Xiaomi 12 is capped at 67W (not as hyperfast but still competitive.)
The Xiaomi 12 has a bright and smooth 120Hz 1080P OLED panel, while the new Xiaomi Pro mobile rocks the next-gen LTPO AMOLED with QHD+ resolution and dynamically adjusted refresh rates. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has three 50 MP cameras on the back, designed for wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto shooting. And the baseline Xiaomi 12 has a 50MP wide, 13MP ultra-wide, and 5MP tele-macro array.
Xiaomi 12X is the most affordable of the bunch, and its screen is a flatter 1080P OLED. Along with the screen, the 12X also shares its camera, battery, and charging specs with the standard Xiaomi 12.
