The Xiaomi 12T series, succeeding the previous flagship 11T lineup, is expected to debut soon. These number series handsets have recently been breaking sale records and have gathered a fan following. Now, a XiaomiUI report has unveiled the internals of the vanilla 12T. It flaunts an impressive set of features falling within the flagship killer category.
The 'T' variant of the Xiaomi 12 comes under the code name ‘Plato.’ Surprisingly, the Chinese firm will upgrade the screen resolution from 1080p to 1.5K this time around. The original panel will be an AMOLED 1220x2712 screen, probably with a high refresh rate. Compared to the last generation, it will dump the side-mounted scanner for an on-display fingerprint sensor.
Photography capabilities have also improved with the 12T. A triple-lens arrangement on the rear will comprise a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 primary lens. This sensor boasts an individual pixel size of 0.64μm while measuring 1/1.67 inches. A Samsung S5K4H7 sensor will sit behind the 8MP ultra-wide camera accompanied by a 2MP macro shooter.
On the front of Xiaomi's new T model will reside its 20MP Sony IMX596 selfie shooter, expectedly in a centered punch-hole cutout. A brand new 5nm MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra might act as the 12T’s engine, coupled with a minimum of 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 onboard memory.
We cannot confirm the battery capacity; however, expect no less than a 5,000 mAh cell with at least 67W Turbo charging. The Xiaomi 12T is also expected to support multiple 5G bands and arrive in numerous storage configurations and color variants. Let’s wait for some official word from Xiaomi before jumping to any conclusions.
