Following the death of Jiang Zemin, the Politician and General Secretary of the Communist Party China, Xiaomi halted the 13 Series launch, slated for December 2nd. There's still no word on the postponed launch dates; despite that, the pre-orders have gone live in China.
The Chinese manufacturer hasn't made any official announcement yet, but pre-bookings for Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro have already started floating in, depositing almost 142$ on each order. There's still no word on the awaited global launch.
Ahead of the official debut, the weight, dimensions, and real-life images of Xioami 13 are doing rounds on the internet. In his latest Weibo post, the tipster Panda Is Bald reveals that the vanilla model measures 152.8 × 71.5 × 7.98mm for that flat variant. The leather variant has a thicker build, clocking in at 8.1mm.
Both leather and glass variants weigh less than 190 grams at the flagship Xiaomi Smartphone price tags. Live images shared by Panda boast the continuous metallic rim around the model with razor-thin borders around the screen. Its form factor is identical to iPhone's flat build, maybe even better.
According to the tipster, Mi 13's screen has an ultra-immersive view with bezels sharper than the entire iPhone 14 lineup's. The numbers are mad, starting at upper, right, & left bezels measuring 1.61mm and the chin only measuring 1.81mm.
Conversely, the Xioami 13 Pro backs a larger 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED screen with curved-away edges. It's broader and thicker, even more so on the leather variant. The ceramic version measures 229 grams; at the same time, the leather model of Mi 13 Pro weighs 210 grams. Upon the official announcement of both models, we'll post an update.
