Another camera behemoth will soon rise from Redmi's flagship smartphone portfolio. The launch date for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has gone official, and going by the announcement; the phone will set sail for global markets as soon as it's launched in China on April 18th.

If you recall, MI 12S Ultra came with an immense glass ring on the back with cameras scattered inside; Xiaomi 13 Ultra plans to follow suit by further enhancing the ring's protrusion, essentially getting more use out of that 1-inch IMX989 sensor.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra is all immersed in the universe of camera performance, which wasn't possible without Leica's partnership with the brand. The manufacturer says it's bringing you new wonders of mobile imaging, and it's hard to disagree when you look at the four cutting-edge camera lenses they plan to offer.

Inside its circular camera zone, the phone presumably has a new Leica Vario-Summicron lens at f/1.8 aperture for the primary shooter. One of the secondary lenses has an f/3.0 focal length, which goes without saying, belongs to the telephoto shooter. These are the vaguely described details at the center of the phone's camera ring. Rumors suggest that the 13 Ultra carries a Sony IMX989 sensor for the 50MP alpha shooter, a 50MP sensor for the ultrawide-angle camera, and two 50MP telephoto shooters with different types of Zoom capabilities.

Apart from its plan to hail the title of a camera king, it also shows potential in many other areas, i.e., a 2.5D curved screen and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC at its core. On April 18th, the keynote will occur in China at 7 PM and in London at noon, commencing the planet-wide release cycle of MI 13 Ultra.
