It’s that time of the year when the ‘T’ remakes of the Xiaomi flagships are nearing debut. Xiaomi 14T Pro got an NBTC certificate. And it led us down the rabbit hole of potential leads and speculations. NBTC, or Thailand’s watchdog over telecom products, approving the 14T Pro means their entire 14T series is about to unleash in the region.
Lucky us, we caught the wind of their Xiaomi 14T Pro before launch. We now know that ‘2407FPN8EG’ is its model code. Look closely and notice a ‘G’ at the end of this code. That’s, of course, the sign of its Global trajectory. Thailand is not the only region that’s hosting the 14T series.
There were no specific mentions of the hardware, except that it may be a 5G device with a 5G-running CPU at the helm. But what rumors tell us about that phone is much deeper than that. Xiaomi 14T Pro may be one tweaked Redmi K70 Ultra behind the curtains.
K70 Ultra is due later this month. But China only. Rebadging it ‘Xiaomi 14T Pro’ might be their way of globalizing the phone. A Camera FV-5 listing for the 14T Pro was already out before NBTC. And because of that, we know about this one’s 50 MP commanding unit on the back of Xiaomi's upcoming 5G mobile and a 32 MP cell for selfies.
14T Pro is OLED 1.5K resolution at 144Hz refresh rate. But only if the leaks pan out. There may be Dimensity 9300+ in there. And there’s a chance that the power source for this one is 5500 mAh. 120W charging, 16 GB RAM, and an overkill 1 TB storage all mean we’re about to meet a flagship.
