They will break out Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro within this month and you can be sure of it, but there’s not enough talk about the third Xiaomi 15 Ultra to join this series next year in early 2025. Last day, we found the Ultra’s camera schematics in a leak and it’s the most eccentric build we’ve ever seen on a phone.
You’ve probably heard how this Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a 200 MP telephoto in rumors, but we never guessed what the design would even look like with such a huge lens. The leak with this schematic is our answer to that very question, and it has visualized where each camera is in a disc-type module.
It’s an odd configuration, but likely the only solution to fit a 1-inch main sensor and 200MP telephoto in such a small space. That elongated lens in the top center, that’s your 200MP telephoto, and with that size, we can only imagine the protrusion this camera module will have.
Then, there’s a Sony LYT-900 main lens on the Xiaomi new flagship phone that has a 1-inch type sensor; it’s that bigger outsole in the bottom center, in the middle of what’s most likely the Sony IMX858 50MP ultrawide, and maybe a second telephoto of 75mm focal length.
Ultra phone is a fitting description for this one, because it will have 24 GB of physical RAM, per the rumors, and they will assign a Snapdragon 8 Elite/Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip to it. And if that’s not enough, they will chuck in a 6200 mAh battery in the chassis, probably out-last all the other competition.
