Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the big finale for the company’s new 15 series. As you know, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro debuted long ago in China, but the Ultra sibling is still on the waiting list. It’s expected the device will go official at MWC 2025, and we found some of its details in leaks already. This is everything we know so far.

An X leaker with the handle @That_Kartikey shared his findings about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in one of his tweets. From the details, we conclude that this phone uses an auxiliary self-developed chip with functions and specifications unknown but might be called a “Small Surge” chip.

For some of you who follow the news media, the nametag “Surge” might ring a bell. Xiaomi has used this sort of chip before. It’s a special sauce in their recipe for a great battery management system, improving battery life and charging time. Small Surge might have a familiar use, but the specifics are still behind thick curtains.

That’s about it on what the leaker shared in his tweet. We go back to the earlier reports about this Xiaomi 5G new model to find some of its other features. It is possible that the lens coating is improved on 15 Ultra cameras, and a new 10cm± macro focus is added to the setup.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be among the few flagships with a 200 MP periscope telephoto shooter on top of a Samsung HP9 sensor. There’s also a second telephoto, but this is only a 3X zoomer 50 MP and probably has a Sony IMX 858 unit. Other details about its internals and the display are bound to appear on the web eventually, so if you are interested, keep up-to-date with our news portal for future leaks.
