The leak-ville keeps dropping reports of a 200 MP telephoto due for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. After every report, we become more and more sure of this possibility. We don't expect 15 Ultra to arrive earlier than 2025. But we do know what the highlight will be.
Smartprix sourced a leak from Kartikey and reported most of the things we can anticipate from Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The one detail that has us most drawn to it is the 200 MP periscope telephoto. The possibility alone feels leaps and bounds ahead of other rivals.
This leak not only shared the 200 MP sensor but also tipped that it is a 10X optical zoomer. They didn't report this part, but if it's anything like the Vivo X100 Ultra. We're in for an f/2.7 85mm periscope telephoto that does multidirectional OIS.
In that same leak, they also mention a second 50 MP telephoto. It will also have a square periscope lens of 5X zoom ability. There will be another 50 MP sensor that they will strap within the screen for selfies. And that same screen on the Xiaomi flagship new mobile might use an ultrasonic fingerprint ID.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is inevitable from the Ultra's flagship perspective. But their plan for on-board 24 GB RAM will be an ace up their sleeve. A 6200mAh battery got leaked here and before. This size bump is possible because of the power-hungry nature of the SD 8 Gen 4.
