Xiaomi 15 Ultra Tipped with RAM, Storage, and Color Options for the Global Market

Xiaomi has announced that the flagship 15 Ultra will be launched in China sometime in February. This was made official by Lu Weibing, the president of the Xiaomi group himself. While the Chinese market is a priority, like always, it’s almost certain that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will debut globally at MWC 2025 in March.

The Mobile World Congress event is due around the 3rd and the 6th of March, which is more than a month away, but we have found its details early. Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore sourced an insider leak to find the global variant’s 16GB + 512GB storage and RAM option.

His findings were later published by 91Mobiles, so there might be some legitimacy to his claim. To add a bit of background, we should also tell you that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra before had the same 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage as the global variant.

This tipster also had info about the Global 15 Ultra’s color options, which he shared with the same publication. If he’s right, we might find this handset in black, white, and silver. Considering the Xiaomi rate list, pricing will play a key role in its competitiveness. We are already familiar with the black and white vegan leather options with the 14 Ultra, so let’s wait and see what the silver color is all about.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra might have borrowed the design from its parent phone with the same circular module, but as you can tell from the renders, the lenses are positioned differently. Some might even say asymmetrically, which wasn’t the case with 14 Ultra. That design was also found in a leaked hands-on image, so it’s no longer a speculation.

The weird lens positioning with the LEICA logo on the side may be intentional. Xiaomi is using a 200 MP periscope telephoto for the first time, and it’s such a massive sensor that it takes almost twice the space a typical zoom lens would. This will also use a 1-inch sensor, so the dispositional lenses have a silver lining after all.

Others in 2025 are using the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will do the same. 50W wireless charging and a 6000mAh battery are also a possibility, while we are certain that it has at least 90W wired charging, exposed by 3C certification. Its Chinese debut is only a few weeks away, so we’ll get to know all about 15 Ultra before it hits the global stage.
