Xiaomi MIX Flip Heading for Europe; Global Launch Confirmed, Limited to a Few Markets

It’s a big moment for Xiaomi. There’s an official confirmation of Xiaomi MIX Flip’s global launch now. And they are about to release it in a few European markets, including Belgium. From what we hear, there’s a steep price to pay if someone buys this phone outside China.

This global variant is just as good as the Chinese one. And it trades blows with the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. There’s a 4” OLED cover screen on the outside plus an LTPO 1-120Hz TCL C8+ Panel. Built inside is the same stuff with a bigger screen size. We have a 6.86” internal OLED with an LTPO 120Hz refresh rate.

That folding OLED has 2912 x 1224p resolution, nearly 2160Hz PWM dimming with 3000nits brightness. In and out, the MIX Flip has completely uniform screens. And none of the other brands have offered anything close to it with a Flip phone. Not even Samsung.

Out of that cover screen pop two high-end cameras. There’s one with a 2X telephoto zoom and 50 MP resolution. Then there’s a primary one doing 50 MP shots with OIS. The selfies shot by Xiaomi's latest folding phone are 32 MP. It keeps slim, fits a 3500mm² 3D VC liquid cooling system, and still beats the Z Flip 6 with a bigger battery.

There’s a 4780mAh capacity here split into two cells. Xiaomi gave this phone 67W fast charging for when the battery runs out. Like all other flagships in trend, we have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 here. LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage is about as good as it gets on the Android platform. Globally, the base variant of this phone has a €1300 price tag (~PKR 392,000).
