Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 to Unfurl as the World's Thinnest Foldable; Tipped for Global Launch

Xiaomi is a regular now in the epic battle of folding phones. And we don’t say that lightly because their folds are just as capable as the Samsung Z series. They are in their 4th generation of the Mix Fold series. And those Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip phones they are working on may debut by the end of July.

As they always do, China will be the region where they debut the series first. But we can’t say the same about international markets. There are rumors that at least Mix Fold 4 will go global by the year’s end. And there’s still no telling that Mix Flip is even launching outside China.

IceUniverse was the one to give hints about the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4’s international unveiling. That’s the first news people ought to hear. The second one he spilled was about the thinness of that folding mobile. It could be the world’s slimmest phone and may as well break the record of the Magic V2.

Honor Magic V2 is straight out of science fiction: it’s so slim. We know this one is a world record holder at 9.9mm when folded. And why would Xiaomi not compete to snatch that record? IceUniverse has a track for putting legit claims on the internet.

And if he says Mix Fold 4 will break the current record for thinness. It’s likely to happen. And there’s another thing to be mindful about here. After those Galaxy Foldable phones, Mix Fold 4 will be among the first to have an IP rating against water.
