Xiaomi Poco F5 5G Bags EEC Certification; Global Debut Imminent

Xiaomi partner Poco is secretly laboring away at a new sub-flagship handset. And reportedly, it's the successor to Poco's fan-favorite F4. Following its appearance on IMEI Database, the unreleased F5 5G Global also bags EEC certification, indicating an imminent launch.

The latest entry to EEC doesn't explicitly mention the handset's title, but the assigned model number 23013RK75G appeared on multiple certification papers before corroborating the moniker "Xiaomi Poco F5 5G."

Having been approved by EEC, the phone will likely receive a global launch starting in European countries. The registry doesn't disclose any information regarding the specs or design. However, a recent report on the web exposed the phone's specifications. Have a look.

Since the new 5G Xiaomi mobile's forerunner, F4, debuted as a rebranded Redmi K40s, enthusiasts suspect the successor might be a rebranded Redmi K60 5G. Most Redmi-K series phones are China-exclusive and appear first. Following in the footsteps, the unannounced K60 might also debut ahead of the Poco F5 5G.

Assigned with the Project codename "Mandrian," the brand plans to pack the upcoming addition with top-of-the-line specs and hardware at an affordable Xiaomi phone price. The device will likely bear an AMOLED display with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits of illumination. It's important to note that these are just speculation, so take them with a grain of salt.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 will power the upcoming cousin of the Poco M4 Pro. Redmi K60 will have the same specs and features. The camera, battery, charging speed, and storage options are still a mystery on both phones. The preliminary knowledge about these phones is limited, and as time progresses, more leaks are likely to come to light as time goes on. So stay tuned.
