Xiaomi’s flagship F-series will soon extend with the addition of a newcomer dubbed Poco F5. The phone has started doing certification runs, and we have spotted it on the IMEI database for the first time. Here’s everything we’ve gathered on the Xiaomi Poco F5 so far.
Listed on the IMEI documentation, the newcomer displayed the “Poco F5” moniker with the model number “23049PCD8G.” An IMDA certificate recently showed the same model number, but the title was different, “Redmi Note 12 Turbo.” According to speculations, one will launch globally, and the other will remain exclusive to China.
IMEI listing didn’t reveal anything noteworthy. We have to look for its specs in the Rumor verse. According to some reports, Redmi Note 12 Turbo, AKA Poco F5, will feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, a hidden fingerprint reader, and high-frequency PWM dimming technology.
Some claim the latest Poco Xiaomi mobile will bear the new Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 chip, with a flagship GPU and ultimate energy efficiency. Being a semi-premium phone, the upcoming addition to F-catalog should bring up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
Backed by fast 67-watt power delivery, the F5 will sport a 5500mAh cell to energize the screen, the Chipset, the cameras, a linear haptic motor, and an IR blaster. Redmi Note 12 Turbo will bring the same feature set. Poco F5 is a Global contender, while the turbo will surely be China-exclusive.
As always, we’d like to remind you that these are mere internet speculations, and nothing’s confirmed until the company says so. We recommend taking this news with a hint of sarcasm. More developments are sure to surface in the coming weeks, and we will make sure to keep you in the loop.
