We all knew it, and it's happening now. The Poco F6 series went official last day at the Dubai Expo. The devices it includes are the Poco F6 and F6 Pro. Both are upper-rank phones, flagship even. We suspected they were rebranded versions of Redmi Turbo 3 and Redmi K70 Pro. We were right on the money.
The F6 and F6 Pro have gone global. That means various markets are to welcome them, and yes, Pakistan is one of them. Details are scarce as of now. But rest easy because soon you will hear a word from the company about the F6 series' launch here. Let's get you up to speed with what you'll be getting while you wait.
Xiaomi Poco F6 Pro
OLED 6.67" 120Hz and fingerprint readers built inside, that much is standard on both phones. But the Poco F6 Pro has a superior 2K resolution. That OLED panel emits a brightness of up to 4000 nits. Then there is Gorilla Glass Victus. Another thing that makes it premium.
Poco F6 Pro has cameras to fit everyone's liking. There is one 50 MP OIS camera in it as the headliner. After that, a 12 MP ultrawide is popping out of that chassis. The 3rd one is Macro 2 MP, but most people will disregard it. It will spit out 16 MP selfies of you from that sensor up front.
The Poco F6 Pro buckles down with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performer under the lid. This phone hits it out of the park in that category. Battery power is 5000 mAh, so it will easily run you a full day. And its charging speeds are 120W. Everything about it screams flagship. Yet the price is nowhere near it. We also hear that the F6 Pro starts at $499 (~PKR 139,000) for a 12/256 GB option.
Xiaomi Poco F6
An OLED panel at 6.67" 120Hz, all sound familiar. But its resolution is a little low at 1.5k pixels. We should also mention that vanilla F6 has a less bright 2600 nits panel. Fingerprint reader and a 20 MP selfie unit, you'll find both these things atop the screen.
Poco F6's back is a different story. There are two cameras built into its soft beveled back lid. One is Sony LYT-600 50MP OIS unit. The other is an 8MP ultrawide. And get this. AI editing features are also part of this series. Poco must be taking initiative in that area.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is the chip inside Poco F6. This engine will push a 3 GHz max clock frequency under loads. And the GPU that comes with it is almost as good as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Xiaomi Poco F6 starter option is 8/256 GB. Its tag is around $360 (~PKR 100,000).
