Xiaomi Poco F7 Gears Up for Early Launch as It Snags the Second Certification

Poco F6 phones haven’t aged much. But eventually, they will reach the end of their cycle. From what we hear, Poco will replace it with a new series, and one of the member smartphones has hit EEC’s certification. Xiaomi Poco F7 should launch sooner than we thought.

‘2412DPC0AG’ is the model number they assigned to Poco F7. It’s the same code we saw on the IMEI database, but it was too early. Usually, Poco F devices last a full year before the new ones take over. So we hoped Poco F7 would not launch till Q2 2025.

Two certifications already mean the timeline has changed, and the Poco F7 lineup has moved up in the schedule. And one other thing we can confirm from the ‘2412DPC0AG’ model number. They have plans to launch it globally from the get-go.

If we break down the code, ‘2412’ is a clue that the Xiaomi latest Poco model could debut on 24th December 2024. And that letter ‘G’ at the end means an international variant. There weren’t any specifics about Poco F7’s hardware — nothing from EEC’s nor IMEI’s database.

With its launch a few months away, we should get to know Poco F7 and its sib F7 Pro a little more. Rumor has it that the Xiaomi Poco F7 is a rebrand of the Redmi Turbo 4, and the F7 Pro is a Redmi K80 with a different badge. It’s what Poco does every year. They’ve moved up the F7 lineup by almost three months, so the build-up has started already.
