Poco F7 Could be a Rebranded Redmi Turbo 4; Leak Offers First Glimpse at Design

We’ve come across a new lead into Poco F7’s design. This device has been making headlines for several weeks with reports saying it has a 1.5k resolution and a 6000mAh battery x 90W charging. And now, a Chinese leaker may have inadvertently given a clue about the phone’s appearance.

A high-quality render for Redmi Turbo 4 has gone viral, shared by a Weibo leaker TechSailorPopeye. It’s a beautiful-looking phone with all-symmetrical bezels and a corner radius equal to iPhones, but the Redmi Turbo 4 is supposed to retail in China only.

Good news for international markets: Turbo 4 will debut globally, rebranded as a Xiaomi Poco F7. Redmi and Poco phones overlap and we’ve seen it happen before with the Redmi Turbo 3 sold as the Poco F6 in regions outside China. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Poco F7 does the same.

The leaked Turbo 4 render is also a fortunate hint for Poco F7’s design. The rumor mill expects these phones to share the symmetry with an obvious switch to the Poco label and some accent changes as part of the Poco ensemble. Vanilla F7 may even bring separate color options.

Redmi Turbo 4’s launch is only held back by Dimensity 8400 SoC. MediaTek might debut this chip by the end of December and Turbo 4 should be one of the first devices to use it. Poco F7 is expected to follow suit so we might see the same chipset in international markets.
