Xiaomi Poco F series will bring an Ultra model for the first time ever, competing in the pure flagship category. The rumors suggest that the Poco F7 Ultra will be joined on the stage by a Xiaomi Poco F7 Pro, while the vanilla F7 will be reserved for a launch at a later date.
The lineup might debut by the end of this month, according to a leaked poster. While we wait for the big finale, a famous publication spilled key details and renders of both the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra, and we can’t help but notice the duo’s uncanny resemblance with the Redmi K80 series.
For several months now, the rumor mill has been reporting the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra as the rebranded Redmi K80/K80 Pro. The leaked renders add credibility to the previous claims. Xiaomi restricts the K lineup to the Chinese market most of the time and only releases the devices globally under the Poco branding.
Xiaomi keeps the tradition going with new Xiaomi Poco mobiles, the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra debuting as alternatives to the K80 variants. The insider source behind the renders also gave away some crucial details about the new F series, especially the downgraded battery capacities for both models.
Redmi K80 Pro plugs into a 6000mAh battery, but the Poco F7 Ultra downgrades it to a 5300mAh cell, according to the leaker. Still, you can expect the Ultra to bring the same 120W charging and 50W wireless input. Poco F7 Ultra will sit at the top tier with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, up to 16 GB RAM, and 512GB storage.
The display used by Poco F7 Ultra seems to be a 120Hz WQHD+ display at 1440p, and the punch hole crop we see in the render will be populated by a 32MP selfie camera. Flip over to the rear side, the handset is reported with a 50MP main unit, 50MP telephoto, and 32MP Ultrawide cameras.
Xiaomi Poco F7 Pro will be the second-best device in the lineup with near-flagship hardware and camera setup. This device has last year’s flagship SoC “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3” with 16 GB RAM. The F7 Pro has a 6000mAh battery backup and only 90W wired charging support (no wireless charging). The Xiaomi Poco F7 series is expected to go official on March 27th, so stay tuned for the review.
