Poco F7 Pro will be heading out soon, alongside a Poco F7 Ultra variant for the first time in history. We’ve seen these phones before on certification listings on Indonesia’s SDPPI platform, where they were assigned the model numbers 24117RK2CG and 24122RKC7G. Now, one of these phones has made it to Thailand’s NBTC database.
We found the Poco F7 Pro in the updated list of NBTC’s certified devices for Thailand under the model code 24117RK2CG. The letter G proves it is a global variant, so it should debut outside Thailand and Indonesia. It’s only a matter of time before Poco launches the F7 Pro.
There was little to no information about the phone’s specs on NBTC’s file. Even the previous IMDA and TDRA certifications were lackluster in that department, so we took a tour of some previous reports and leaks to find out if this phone was worth its salt.
Poco and Redmi phones overlap almost all the time, so the internet believes that Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra are repurposed Redmi phones as usual. With Xiaomi phones' price competitiveness, Poco’s sibling company has plenty of powerful mid-range handsets locked to the Chinese market that might come out as global Poco phones.
From what we hear, Xiaomi is rebadging the Redmi K80 for F7 Pro and Redmi K80 Pro for F7 Ultra. Of course, this is only a rumor, but if it does happen, you must know that these new models Poco might bring a 6.67” 2K 120Hz OLED with 3200 nits brightness.
Redmi K80 has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the F7 Pro could use the same SoC. But, the Poco F7 Ultra might be built around a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the best Android SoC in the market right now. The vanilla Poco F7 might be a Redmi Turbo 4 in disguise, so it shall have a 1.5k OLED and 7500mAh battery.
A 90W fast charging is also a possibility among its specs, but we advise caution because these specs are rumored, and Turbo 4 hasn’t debuted yet. This Redmi phone might launch in April, so expect tto follow the timeline closely for the Xiaomi Poco F6 Pro successor. We are bound to see more info about these newcomers as time progresses, so stick around for more updates.
