Xiaomi Poco F7 Tipped with Flagship Specs; Snapdragon 8s Elite & 7000mAh Battery

Poco F lineups usually have two devices, but we hear about a third phone joining them in the next series. We will probably see the usual vanilla Poco F7 and F7 Pro, and for the first time, a Poco F7 Ultra. Details about the Pro and Ultra are unknown, but Digital Chat Station has tipped what to expect from the base Poco F7.

DCS reported on Weibo that Snapdragon 8s Elite will be released by April 2025 and among the first wave of handsets, the new Poco F7 might be the one using this chip. It's the same formula used over generations: the 8s Elite is an underclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Reports suggest that the 8s Elite's performance might be up to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 level — it won’t be as good as the year-old Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This goes without saying that the latest architecture will help it achieve the same top-of-the-line energy efficiency for the CPU and the GPU.

SD 8s Elite and the 7000mAh battery claimed by DCS envisage Xiaomi's latest Poco phone with unprecedented screen-on times with a single charge. It gets even better if the leaked 1.5k resolution LTPS AMOLED panel. The screen will have a high refresh rate and at the same time, be super efficient.

These phones won’t be original, as most of you would’ve guessed already. There’s a high chance that the Poco F7 is a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, the Poco F7 Ultra is a Redmi K80 Pro and the F7 Pro is a vanilla Redmi K80. These Redmi phones will hit China sometime in the next few months, and the Poco phones will be an alternative for the global markets, of course with the same specs.
