The Poco F7 series will debut globally in a few weeks. This theory was reinforced by another major certification recently. Thailand’s NBTC authority passed one of its members and cleared it for release in the regional market. The NBTC database has been updated with a new model number 24122RKC7G, which belongs to Poco F7 Ultra.
The model number ends with the letter G, which is our first clue that it’s intended for the global market. We’ve seen the same device in Geekbench’s AI database, and NBTC proves again that the device exists and it’s on the way for an international launch.
NBTC clearly marks the device as an upcoming release but, as always, leaves little to no clues about its specs. Still, the Geekbench database helped uncover some of its internals and performance scores. From what we’ve read so far, Poco F7 Ultra is based on a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which is the latest Qualcomm mobile chip with 4.32GHz clock speed.
It’s the best and most powerful chip out there in the mobile category. The Xiaomi Ultra new model might pair it with 16 GB RAM, and the software using this raw power will be an Android 15 Hyper OS 2.0. Sadly, these are the only specs we found on the phone’s Geekbench report.
Poco F7 Ultra is rumored to be a rebranded version of Redmi’s K80 Pro, so the display and camera specs might overlap in both phones. The Redmi K80 Pro was announced in November last year, and its specs entail an AMOLED 120Hz panel with 2K resolution and an ultrasonic fingerprint ID on the screen.
If it’s indeed the rebranded K80 Pro, Xiaomi’s Poco F7 Ultra will use the same front panel and probably the same battery and camera specifications. This device might have a 50 MP main camera and a 20 MP selfie shooter. Among other lenses, it might even secure a 32 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP OIS telephoto sensor.
The battery on this handset will be a massive 6000mAh power pack with a whopping 120W fast charging input. Since the Poco F7 Ultra is rumored to be the Redmi K80 Pro alternative, there’s a possibility of 50W wireless input as well. Poco F7 Ultra might be the first proper flagship from the company, and we are excited to see the market’s reaction to this new contender. The Poco F6 Pro, launched earlier, still offers great performance in the mid-range segment.
