As suspected, Xiaomi has launched the Poco F7 Pro with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and F7 Ultra with a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC for the global markets. From the details we have found, both of these handsets have the same display size and type, even though one costs $150 less in terms of price. Here’s what’s new on Poco F7 Ultra and Poco F7 Pro.
Xiaomi Poco F7 Ultra
Guessing by the name, this phone is meant to be the leading contender and a pure flagship device. It’s the first Ultra model from the company, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC at its core already positions the F7 Ultra among the top Android phones of 2025.
That display you see on the front is a 6.67” AMOLED at 2K WQHD+ resolution. It’s also a 120Hz smooth motion panel, which can kick the brightness up to 3200 nits under specific conditions. This should help make the Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content pop. There’s also an In-display fingerprint ID and a 32MP selfie camera featured on the front.
Poco F7 Ultra is given an additional VisionBoost D7 graphics chip, which could theoretically allow 120fps gaming with 2K resolution upscaling. To keep the SD 8 Elite chip from throttling, they’ve installed a 5400mm² IceLoop cooling chamber in the phone.
Its triple camera setup has a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS, a second 32 MP ultrawide, and a third 2.5x telephoto lens, which can also do 50 MP shots. Poco F7 Ultra’s 5300mAh battery may not be as impressive, but its 120W fast charge support is a game-changer. Xiaomi has promised four OS updates and six years of security support for the device. Poco F7 Ultra starts at $649 (~PKR 181,000) for 12/256GB memory trim.
Xiaomi Poco F7 Pro
Both phones look identical and even have the same display panels. Poco F7 Pro is also built around a 6.67” AMOLED panel with 2K WQHD+ resolution and a 120Hz smooth refresh rate. There’s Dolby Vision, HDR10+ rating, and the very same 3200 nits peak brightness that we saw on the Ultra model.
Of course, the In-display Ultrasonic fingerprint is also available here, but there is only a 20 MP sensor on the Poco F7 Pro for selfies. Poco F7 Pro lacks a telephoto lens, but there is still a 50 MP Light Fusion 800 Main OIS sensor available on this device. The second lens here is an 8 MP Ultrawide unit.
The Pro has last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC inside, which is wired to a 6000mAh battery. A 90W fast charge input should give you a quick refill when needed. This device is dust and water-tight with an IP68 rating, and a Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen.
Its modem has the fastest WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. What’s even more interesting is the phone’s 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For a phone that only costs $499 (~PKR 140,000) for a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and 12/256GB starter configuration, Poco F7 Pro is a steal.
