Xiaomi Poco M7 5G’s Design and Specs Surface via Google Play Console

Poco M7 5G has finally made it to the Google Play Console listing. We have been expecting this handset ever since its Poco M7 Pro 5G sibling was released in December. GPC indexing the vanilla model is a sign that Xiaomi will soon bring this handset to the stage, making the lineup whole.

Google Play Console gave away the front image of Poco M7 5G as well as some of its key specs, and we have to admit, it’s shaping up to be a great budget device. GPC attested to the phone’s SoC details, RAM, Android version, and most importantly, the display specs.

We learn from the database that the Poco M7 5G is an HD+ device with a  720x1640 resolution panel. The display type wasn’t exposed here, but we often see a 720p resolution adjacent to IPS LCDs. We might hear more on the subject in later reports and leaks.

The new Xiaomi 5G mobile only has a 4 GB variant in the GPC database, but it may not be the only one at the time of release. Something more interesting that was revealed by Google Play was this phone’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. It touches base with most entry-level 5G devices. There are eight cores on this 4nm SoC, and the maximum clock speed is 2.2GHz.

Also, per the listing here, this handset unfortunately has Android 14 Hyper OS from the get-go, which is outdated. The industry has moved on to the Android 15 version as standard. This is a compromise buyers will have to make while purchasing the device whenever it goes official.

We can see in the render that M7 at least has the modern facade to keep up with 2025 handsets. It has a punch-hole crop for the front selfie camera and some surprisingly thin bezels wrapping the screen. But the chin is slightly thick, so it’s not 100% uniform.

So far, the Console listing is the only source of accurate information about the handset. It’s also proof that the Poco M7 5G is on the horizon and could debut very soon. By the time it happens, we might see more certifications and leaks spilling the phone’s camera and battery details as well. So stay tuned.
