Xiaomi Poco M7 has been unveiled as promised. It’s not available globally yet, but its launch in an overseas market has pulled the curtain from all its software features, specs, and pricing. Granted it’s an entry-level device, Xiaomi has been quite generous this time, and we are most excited about its continuous 4-year security updates and two major OS upgrades.

Poco M7 has a familiar design. It seems to be an extension of Redmi A4 5G, which is more than possible considering how often Redmi and Poco devices overlap. There’s a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 at its heart, so it supports 5G bands if the region has the availability.

This chip came paired with virtual 6GB memory and onboard 6GB RAM, also including the 128 GB built-in storage for media, documents, and apps. These specs are normal at entry-level prices. Poco will ship it with Android 14 instead of the latest version 15. Still, the M7 5G has been committed to OS updates till Android 16, and there are plans for 4-year extended support with security updates.

The camera topology might confuse you, but be warned that there are only two cameras on Poco M7’s back. A Sony IMX852 50MP is the primary unit, which will record 1080p videos at 30 FPS. That second lens has unknown specifications. Of course, there’s also a front camera for selfies: an 8 MP sensor under a notched display cutout. The Xiaomi price catalog lists all available configurations and pricing details

From what we’ve gathered, the screen on this phone is a 6.88” IPS LCD panel that has a maximum 720p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Poco M7 went all in with screen safety. It has TUV Flicker-Free certification, Eye Fatigue reduction, and Blue Screen protection.

We also found its power specs through the official landing site, which reveal the M7’s 18W charging backup for a 5160 mAh battery that’s advertised to last 13 days on standby, and make it through 12 hours of continuous video streaming.

6/128GB is the base memory option on the Poco M7, which costs around $114 (~PKR 32,000). 8/128GB trim is only slightly expensive at about $125 (~PKR 35,000) and there are at least three color options confirmed for this device in Black, Green, or Blue finishes. Poco M7 by Xiaomi might eventually debut in other regions, so stick around for more news around this newcomer.
