Xiaomi Poco M7 Pro 5G Visits FCC; Design, Key Specs & Global Launch Confirmed

We all knew that the Poco M6 Pro would cycle out soon, and after that, we'll hear from them about a Poco M7 Pro 5G. Well, today was its first sighting in the wild. And what we discovered about it leads us to believe that the M7 Pro is for a global audience.

It was 91Mobiles that first came across Poco M7 Pro on the FCC certification. '2409FPCC4G' is the model number that came with it. See the capital 'G' at the end. That's usually a sign that the debut will be global. Also, the FCC is a U.S. authority, so we practically have a guarantee for a launch there.

We get to know a few things about M7 Pro from all this. There's Xiaomi Hyper OS 1.0 running it, not the aged MIUI. It will be an Android 14 sub-system. For a phone poised in 2024, we shouldn't expect anything less software-wise.

Then there's a clue about the M7 Pro's NFC chip. So, it will allow contactless payments. 128 GB storage is also a possibility because they listed it on FCC. But knowing Poco, it will be far from the only memory option available. Next, we have the latest leaked images of the Xiaomi Poco new handset

It could be a Redmi Note 14 5G disguised as a Poco device. That's their usual formula with Poco M series phones. From what we see, the Poco M7 Pro has two cameras on the back, while the Redmi Note 14 5G will pack at least three, per the leaks. We suspect that they are mostly identical apart from the cameras.
