A new Xiaomi phone with the moniker “POCO X5 5G” is tip-toeing around the web, silently bagging certifications before a big release. In entry to BIS and FCC platforms, the device has also popped up on IMDA and 3C links — indicative of an imminent launch. Here’s a brief overview of all the leaked details.
3C, the Chinese public listing shows the model number “22101320C,” which as per the recent reports, belongs to X5 5G. The document reveals several tidbits about the phone, but the notable highlight is its 67W fast charging capability. It’s safe to say that Poco X4 Pro 5G and X5 5G share the same plug-and-brick.
Its visit to the IMDA certification link didn’t reveal anything noteworthy except the nearing launch. There’s still no word about it from the BBK chain and no confirmation of its existence.
While the chain desperately tries to keep the new Xiaomi POCO mobile on the down low, the rumor mill has unearthed its key features. The FCC database update with model “22101320C” lead to an under-the-hood 5000mAh battery on X5. In addition, enthusiasts believe that the heir to Poco X4 Pro 5G hones a solid Snapdragon 778+ 5G SoC. On top of that, an IPS 120Hz screen seems imminently possible.
Poco X4 Pro, the ancestor, featured a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with silk-like smooth animations on 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. It packed a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for visuals and operations.
On the optical side, it scored four cameras; a Front-facing 16MP, followed by a back-mounted 64MP primary, an 8MPultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. Right out of the gate, it booted to Android 11 OS. Xiaomi's POCO M4 Pro was the last POCO to reach the local market, we'll have to wait and see if the new X5 5G makes it to Pakistan after the global unveil.
