Poco is at work R&D-ing a couple of new budget contenders. Among them, the Xiaomi Poco X5 series is making headlines left and right. The lineup has two imminent devices, the X5 and X5 Pro, and the former just got indexed on the Geekbench database. Here’s what it reveals.
The standard Poco X5 enters the Geekbench scoreboard under model number 22111317PG. The file reveals its benchmark scores, SoC details, RAM, Motherboard, and Android version. A live shot on the web a few days ago confirms the X5 is a modified Redmi Note 12.
In the Geekbench test, Poco X5 scores 693 points on a single and 2113 points on all eight cores. The CPU architecture holds two 2.21GHz performance and six 1.8GHz efficiency cores; the configuration resembles Snapdragon 695 5G SoC. With this device, users will find Andreno 619 graphics unit paired with 8GB RAM.
There’s a likely possibility of a 6GB RAM configuration. On the software front, it comes preinstalled with Android 12. The older OS might later receive Android 13 via OTA. There have been many reports on the new Poco Xiaomi mobile, and here are some of its supposed specs.
Users can expect Poco X5 with an AMOLED screen spanning 6.7 inches hiding an 8MP punch-hole camera underneath. Its panel likely refreshes at 120Hz, and its primary camera allegedly uses a 48MP sensor. In addition to UFS 2.2 type storage and LPDDR4X type memory, there might be a 33W fast rechargeable 5000mAh battery. The cost of this phone is expected to be competitive with other models like the Xiaomi Poco X3, which currently has a starting price of around Rs. 41,999.
