The Redmi 10X series featuring Redmi 10X 4G, Redmi 10X 5G, and Redmi 10X Pro 5G were announced last month and the former two editions went on sale on June 2. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi 10X 4G and 5G reached CNY 100 million in sales within five minutes of debuting due to an affordable Xiaomi price tag. Following this, the ‘Pro 5G’ edition has also gone on sale in China.
The Redmi 10X Pro 5G features a typical Xiaomi design and build. You get a symmetrical four-lens camera, laid out inside a squircle bump, with two of the cameras bound within a second pill-shaped border.
The rear-shell comes in Blue, Gold, and solid pink-to-violet gradients. Flip it over to find a notched AMOLED panel. It stretches 6.57 inches across, delivering an FHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
A fingerprint scanner is hidden underneath this display, and Xiaomi has layered the front and rear-facing panels in Gorilla Glass 5 for added Redmi protection against falls. The corners of the 10 Pro are reinforced, and the build has a thick nano-coating rated IP53 against splashes.
The Redmi 10x pro camera setup features a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, an 8MP super-wide camera, and a 5MP macro sensor. The configuration allows for 3x optical and up to 30x digital zoom while supporting four-axis OIS.
Underneath the hood, the 10X Pro 5G runs on a Dimensity 820 5G processor, combined with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. The MediaTek chip is advertised to be 50% more power-efficient than the Snapdragon 765G and has a 360⁰ 5G antenna baked into it. The phone is liquid-cooled and supports dual 5G standby. The battery powering this hardware has a large 4,520 mAh capacity and can be recharged with 33W Flash Charge.
The Redmi 10X Pro 5G starts at CNY 2,299 (~52,000 PKR), but the Chinese manufacturer has not shared the release calendar for other markets yet.
