Xiaomi has had the entry-level Redmi 12C phone in their pipeline for quite a while; they've just deployed it in China at value-friendly rates. The model has launched with a mid-range MTK chipset, high-quality cameras, and an extensive LCD screen. Here's the list of features it packs inside.

On the front, the Xiaomi Redmi 12C boasts a large 6.71-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution and partially uniform bezels enveloping it. Under its drop-notch lives a 5MP selfie unit capable of doing 1080p videos at 30FPS. Design-wise, 12C has a texturized backplate with diagonal stripes and a circular cutout for the fingerprint sensor.

Redmi endows 12C with a dual camera setup headlined by a 50MP primary unit. It's yet to confirm, but the second sensor might be a depth mapper. On a slightly raised platform, its accented camera island pairs well with its colorways in shadow black, deep sea blue, mint green, and lavender purple.

With its Helio G85 SoC, the 12C comes with 4-6GB of RAM, 64-128GB of storage, and 512GB of expandability using an SD card. MIUI 13 runs on the new addition to the Xiaomi rate list by default, but it trims away most MIUI 13 features since the 12C runs an optimized version of the operating system.

A battery capacity of 5000mAh is the most noteworthy feature of 12C. It supports a standard 10W recharge using a Micro USB port, a loudspeaker, LPDDR4X RAM, eMMc 5.1 storage, and a 3.5mm Audio jack.

The Redmi 12C is available overseas in three memory assortments: 4+64GB, 4+128GB, and 6+128 GB. Translating their Chinese prices to PKR, they cost roughly ~22,000, ~26,000, and ~29,000 Rs, respectively. But due to the hefty taxes, it may cost here the same as the Xiaomi Redmi 10C price. Most Redmi numbered series phones launch in Pakistan; we expect Redmi 12C to follow suit.
