Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi 13 series, starting with the entry-level Xiaomi Redmi 13C. The device has already jumped on retail in Nigeria and will likely deploy in other countries soon. The newcomer has a lot going for it, feature and design-wise. Here’s a full review.
The Redmi 13C shares some similarities with the Poco C65 but also has its distinct features. It draws power from a 9nm Helio G99 chipset and comes with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM. Alongside, it flexes storage options starting from 128GB, capped at up to 256GB. The device features a 6.74-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate.
In the camera department, the Redmi 13C has a typical entry-tier roster. It sports a 5MP front-facing camera, while the rear setup includes a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Xiaomi budget new model carries a standard 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. However, it's worth noting that if it follows the Poco C65's lead, it may come with a 10W charger in the box instead of 18W. It recharges via a USB C port, features a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and accessorizes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Redmi 13C is doing rounds in Nigeria in two color options, Black and Clover Green. The base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at NGN 98,100 (about €114 or PKR 34,000), while the top variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs NGN 108,100 (about €125 or PKR 38,000). The Redmi 13C offers a budget-friendly option for users looking for a reliable smartphone with decent features.
