Finally, a budget Redmi device that doesn’t cut corners to achieve a low retail cost. Xiaomi has revealed an entry-level phone called Redmi 13x, which seems to bring similar specs to last year’s Redmi 13 4G, but overhauls the design to appear like a brand new model.
Most of the devices at this price have been disappointing in 2025 since many of them compromise on display quality, RAM, and storage for a cheap price tag. But not the Redmi 13x. It has an uninterrupted 6.79” display with an IPS 550 nits bright panel. There’s a small punch hole on top for a 13 MP selfie snapper.
It’s a 90Hz smooth and responsive screen, which uses a 1080p resolution, apparently, for very sharp visuals. Of course, there’s better display technology out there, but at this price point, people will be more than happy with the Redmi 13x’s IPS screen and pay the full price for it.
This phone is also certified with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and an IP53 rating for dust/water resistance. On the inside, Redmi 13x hosts a 5030 mAh battery that’s good for around 17 hours of video playback time. You can refill the device up to 50% in 26 minutes with the supported 33W fast charging; it delivers solid endurance—features that align well with its positioning in the Xiaomi price list.
Those two massive lenses on the back can produce sharp images. From what we’ve heard, Redmi 13x brings a 108MP PDAF autofocus f/1.8 aperture lens with 3x lossless zoom that’s backed up by a 2 MP macro lens for some close-up shots. That Ring LED flash is a bonus to the camera.
The high-quality sensor under the lens and the 1080p 90Hz display are made operational through a Helio G91 Ultra SoC wired with at least 6 GB RAM. The phone’s max built-in storage is 128 GB, but the Redmi 13x does allow you to expand the ROM via an SD card.
The Xiaomi Redmi 13x has been released in Vietnam in either 6/128 GB or 8/128 GB memory trims. One of them has a price tag of around $168 (~PKR 47,000), and the higher-end model with 8GB memory will cost users around $183 (~PKR 51,000). These prices might vary in other regions.
