Xiaomi Redmi 14C 5G Flexes Twice the Power of Its 4G Sibling, Geekbench Reports

It would seem that Redmi 14C also has a 5G version that they want to drop sometime later and Geekbench has reported that it is almost two times the performance of their old Redmi 14C 4G. Yes, this phone has made it to the Geekbench database and thus we have info about its internals.

The best Redmi 14C 4G could do with its measly Helio G81 was to score 418 - 1390 points on the CPU test, but this is nothing if we place it against 14C 5G. It would turn out that model ‘2411DRN471’ or Redmi 14C 5G has two cores with 2.21 GHz clock speed. There are also six others with a 1.96 GHz clock.

That architecture is mostly why 14C 5G has 917 points single core and 2181 points multicore average in the test runs. It’s the same core setup that Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 has and this chip is made with a 4nm-type fabrication process, so it’s very efficient.

This chip may also be the context for several more guesses about Xiaomi's new 5G handset, like the very fact that it’s a name-swapped Redmi 14R 5G from China. There’s the same SD 4 Gen 2 here, so it should be the same 6.68” HD+ screen and even a 600 nit max brightness on 14C 5G.

14R 5G does 13 MP photos from the rear shooter and snaps 5 MP selfies upfront, everything gets energy from a 5160mAh cell and then we see fast 18W charging. It’s a different story in China, but the regions on the other end will see the new Redmi 14C 5G somewhere between $120 and $140.
