The ultra-budget catalog by Xiaomi produced two new devices, Xiaomi Redmi A1 and A1+, in October 2022. With a semi-premium modern finish, the pair houses an ancient MediaTek Helio A22 chip. While the models have a lot going for them in specifications, this chipset is their only downside. The chain plans to fix it.
As per the Chinese publication Xiaomiui, the manufacturer is R&D-ing an upgraded Redmi A1 mobile. Their new post refers to an FCC listing that popped up on the web with the model number 23036RN54G. The initials "2302" indicate an imminent arrival in February or March.
The new Xiaomi Redmi A1 is getting a slightly upgraded CPU to gain a competitive edge. According to a report, Xiaomi's next 23036RN54G will use a new processor, the MT6765X. The code belongs to MTK's budget Helio P35 12nm SoC.
