Xiaomi’s Redmi A4 5G could be another big hit, at least within the budget range. They partially announced it in an overseas market just last week, and by partially we mean they didn’t say anything about pricing and didn’t even reveal most of its specifications.
But, as it happens, a new leak is here today to sort things out and give us info about the Redmi A4 5G specs and price that they intentionally omitted from the official announcement. Their Redmi A series has never had a 5G capable phone before, and this phone is the first one to do it, all at a dirt-cheap price.
Without a doubt, they borrowed this design from Redmi 14C, and the A4 5G looks exactly like it with a big circular disc on the rear end. There’s a 50 MP lens in one of those silos and may be an auxiliary one that flanks it, but that third one is only decorative, so the camera looks balanced.
Redmi A4 5G has a very ordinary front section: a 6.7” IPS 1080p screen with a notch and everything. This panel might feel dated to you from the bezels that clutter it, but Xiaomi's new 5G budget phone should give you a smooth sail through the UI as it refreshes at a 90Hz speed.
There’s an 8 MP selfie camera in that notch and they use 128 GB RAM to store your photos. We only see a 4 GB RAM option that they wired to a Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 (5G). 5000mAh battery plus 18W charging is also present on the Redmi A4 5G, and the leak says the official price of this phone is roughly $100 (~PKR 27,000).
