Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series is their budget mid-range lineup — focused on delivering performance and value. The current Note 9 series is not even a year old, but since it has been one of the best-selling budget phones in 2020, Xiaomi is refreshing the lineup early. Going by Xiaomi’s typical naming scheme, the upcoming generation will also be split into several variants, each targeting a particular price point.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max
The world’s first 108MP camera debuted with Xiaomi’s Mi 10 last year. Samsung and Motorola later used the same sensor in their Galaxy S20 Ultra and Motorola Edge+, and these high-res sensors have been exclusive to flagships until now.
Digital Chat Station, a popular Chinese phone leaker, predicts that the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max will feature a 108MP camera. Their Weibo post further details that the phone has the Snapdragon 750G chipset, a 4800 mAh battery, and 33W fast charging.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has the same chipset, battery, and fast charging as the Mi 10T Lite 5G, not to mention the same model number M2007J17G/C (the ‘G’ and ‘C’ separate the global and Chinese variants). The chipset, battery, and fast charging check out and corroborate Digital Chat Station’s claim, but the Mi 10T Lite 5G has a 64MP camera. If Xiaomi is planning on re-releasing it as a Redmi device, the standard camera could be swapped out for a 108MP sensor.
Redmi Note 10 Pro
The mid-tier Redmi Note 10 Pro is being kept under wraps, mostly. A previous leak gave us a hands-on preview of the phone’s display and its rear-facing camera.
The setup, not unlike the Note 10 Pro Max renders, shows a donut-style camera plate and a hole-punch cutout for the display. It features 8GB of memory and 22.5W fast charging, but the chipset is anyone’s guess right now.
Redmi Note 10
Realme V5 is the cheapest 5G phone in the market. Not to be outdone by its competition, Xiaomi has revealed plans of its own for a budget 5G phone. That phone could be the Redmi Note 10 — available in 4G and 5G flavors.
Beyond its model number and 22.5W fast charging support, no details have been confirmed for this edition yet.
