If you're looking to buy a new smartphone in Pakistan, the recent price cut on Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12 4G could make your decision easier. Originally priced at Rs 60,000 for the 6/128GB model, it’s now available for Rs 54,999. Similarly, the 8/128GB variant has been reduced from Rs 65,000 to 59,999.

The company has slashed up to Rs 5,000 on both variants, making them cost-effective for budget-conscious consumers. As for the specs, you will find the price justifying the phone’s hardware and features.

The Redmi Note 12 4G features a fresh, boxy design with a flat backplate and straight edges, setting it apart from its 5G counterpart. It sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring crisp and smooth visuals.

Performance-wise, the new 4G Xiaomi mobile is powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 685 SoC. As mentioned, the consumers have multiple memory options with this device, including 6/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The device also boasts an improved camera setup. It features a 50MP AI primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there's a 13MP camera nestled into the punch-hole cutout of the display, with support for HDR and 1080p video recording.

Durability isn’t compromised either: the phone’s display is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and an IP53 rating means the device can withstand minor splashes and dust. On the software front, the Redmi Note 12 4G runs on Android 13, paired with Xiaomi’s MIUI 14.

Fueled by a robust 5000mAh battery, the phone refills the device with up to 33W fast charging. The Note 12 has a side-mounted biometric reader that doubles as a power button for added security. All these features are a perfect fit for a device under Rs 60,000.
