In December 2022, Xiaomi made the Redmi Note 12 series official worldwide. With a batch of new midrange options, namely the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Explorer, the lineup boasted an unparalleled combination of high value and reasonable cost.
It seems that the chain is working on expanding the catalog. A fresh entrant will soon join the ranks, bearing the moniker of Redmi Note 12 4G. There has been no formal confirmation yet, but the latest break from leak circle has divulged its specifications and design through a live screen preview. Have a look.
Ever-reliable tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore recently shared renderings of the device on Twitter and revealed that Note 4G has a similar design language to its forerunner. Its ridges and back panel are flat, giving it a boxy slab-like finish. The phone is essentially a plastic-glass sandwich.
The camera extrusion on Xiaomi 4G new model has three enlarged sensors and a flash. It boasts a sleek side profile atop a flat screen and an elegant punch-hole cutout gracing the top center. The bezels here are surprisingly uniform, edging to premium.
Renderings aside, Sudhanshu has shared a live shot of the phone’s “About” section in the settings verifying numerous details about the newcomer. According to the preview, the phone draws power from a yet-to-be-released Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC. The chipset is an overclocked iteration of the Snapdragon 680 SoC.
Along with 4GB of physical RAM, the device incorporates 3GB of virtual RAM. It sports Android 13-based MIUI 14 — details from the live shot end here. Rumors hint at a 120Hz 6.67-inch AMOLED display on Note 12 4G with a 50MP primary shooter and a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
