Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Series is Headed for Global Debut; First Official Listing Outside China

Xiaomi recently broke out four new devices in China; Redmi Note 12, Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro Plus, and the Note 12 Explorer. All of these Note 12 siblings, so far, have remained exclusive to the brand's home market. The recent development brings some good news for markets outside China.

From the chain's latest move, it appears that Redmi Note 12 line is getting prepped for a global release. Moments ago, Xiaomi's official link in India added a microsite for the latest Redmi Note 12 series, dictating their attempt to launch the phone in the respective region. Other markets are bound to follow shortly after.

The link on the website is vague, stating that the phone is coming soon. The microsite has teased the launch without revealing many details. With all four models already debuted, we know what the global release of the series will bring to the table.

Starting with the baseline Redmi Note 12, users will find a reasonably minimal design wrapped around a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz panel. It boasts a 48MP camera, followed by an 8MP selfie snapper. Using 33W fast charging, it backs a 5000mAh cell, which links to Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC with up to 256GB, and 8GB RAM. Altogether a worthwhile complement to the Xiaomi price list.

Redmi Note 12 Pro has an OLED panel spanning 6.67 inches, with FHD+ res and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone bears an all-new Dimensity 1080 Chip and Sony's 50MP IMX766 sensor. It boasts RAM all the way up to 12GB and has a 5000mAh (67W supported) battery backing it up. It has a primary 50MP camera followed by a punch hole 16MP selfie.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus also features a Dimensity 1080 SoC, but it highlights a 200MP Primary camera, 120W fast charging, and 1920Hz PWM dimming. 16MP selfie snapper, battery, screen size, and refresh rate are identical to the standard Pro variant.

The Explorer Redmi Note 12 and the Pro Plus carry an OLED screen with similar stats. But the explorer energizes using a smaller 4,300mAh battery rated for a record-crushing 210W ultra-fast charging. The camera system also follows the Pro Plus' trail, bearing a 200MP alpha lens.

While it slightly edges on the expensive side, it still lacks true haptics. All four sibs have audio jacks and side-mounted biometric readers. It would take a bit of time for the new series to reach Pakistan. In case you want to haggle for the predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 price in Pakistan starts from Rs. 41,999.
