Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro is all set to make waves as the inaugural device with Qualcomm's freshly minted Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip. Slated for a September 21 debut alongside its Pro+ and vanilla versions, the phone is already turning heads with its Geekbench scores.
The device, listed under model number 2312CRAD3C, flexes its Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 muscles with a top clock speed of 2.4GHz. This new Qualcomm beast runs on eight CPU cores, evenly distributed between efficiency and performance clusters.
While it rivals the performance of its predecessor, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, it skimps on the extra performance core featured in the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2. A previously unpublicized detail claimed the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 has an integrated Adreno 710 GPU.
When put to the Geekbench test, the new 5G Xiaomi mobile racked up a solid 1,012 score in single-core and 2,943 in multi-core test. Interestingly, it nips at the heels of the Dimensity 7200 chipset tucked inside the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, which pulled in scores of 1,122 and 2,636 for single and multi-core tests, respectively.
Besides its formidable new chipset, the Redmi Note 13 Pro also bears an extravagant 16GB of RAM and operates on Android 13. Previously disclosed features for this soon-to-be-released handset include a flat AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery that fuels up at 67W, and a speculated 200MP rear camera.
The potential buyers should note that the Pro variant will not offer optical image stabilization (OIS) with the 200MP Primary camera. We are still awaiting the details regarding Vanilla Note 13 and Note 13 Pro Plus. So stay tuned for more developments to come.
