Another Note lineup from Redmi is about to cross over. 3C authority, China’s watchdog over consumer electronics, gave clearance to a new phone recently named ‘Redmi Note 14.’ Their official listing was helpful as the first official clue into the phone’s charging standard.

We get to take a peep under the hood of Redmi Note 14 thanks to 3C. They assign the model number ‘24090RA29C’ to it. There were rumors about the same device having a 45W fast charging kit. And it seems those reports were on point.

3C verifies the adapter serial code for the Redmi Note 14’s charger and its wattage. It can do 3A x 5V for a total of 15W under normal conditions, and at peak times, this adapter can output 11V and 4.1A of energy. And that makes it a 45W-capable charger.

That’s a step in the right direction for the Xiaomi 5 G's latest handset. Before this, the old Redmi Note 13 could only do 33W charging, and that standard was getting old very quickly. Also, if the vanilla Note 14 is stepping up its charging game. We assume the Note 14 Pro and Pro Plus are most likely doing the same.

We’d also like to add that the listing had a ‘24090RA29C’ model number, clearly signaling a Redmi Note 14 Chinese variant. The debut in the home market might happen in September, but international variants of the phone will be late as always, probably due in January.
