Pre-launch, there has been plenty of activity online around the future Redmi Note 14 series. We crossed paths with a new report yesterday saying the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus may pull the load using a Dimensity 7350 SoC. Plus, there were details about its cameras and screen and confirmation of some odd design changes.

The source for today’s break is Digital Chat Station. His Weibo post was detailed and credible enough to go viral. From what he believes, we are looking at a 1.5k screen resolution with the Note 14 Pro+. That means it’s pushing about 1220 x 2712 pixels.

This leak describes the screen as hyperbolic. Simply put, DCS thinks it is a Curved AMOLED often seen with the upper echelon of phones. Plus, they are switching it up a bit, design-wise. There may be an elliptical camera island this time. DCS and others have reported it several times, so we can’t help but believe it.

That Elliptical camera on the back of Xiaomi's upcoming flagship handset will be home to a 50 MP insole, though its specifics remain hidden. It will be a plastic chassis, or as he puts it, ‘Plastic middle frame.’ And by short-focus optical fingerprint reader, he means an ordinary fingerprint reader we see on OLEDs.

At first, we couldn’t guess what the SoC was just from the post. But in the comments, he answered his own riddle. The TSMC 4nm SoC that runs at 3.0 GHz frequency is MediaTek’s fairly new Dimensity 7350 engine running eight cores. We assume the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus is a semi-flagship device.
