Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Series Launch Date Confirmed, Along with Durability Insights

Their next Redmi Note series has its official launch date now and we’ve entered the week when both the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ shall break cover (there’s no word about the vanilla Note 14 yet). September 26th is the big day for the announcement, and they teased some durability info for both of them. Here’s a quick peek for you.

There was already a hint on X from the Redmi's GM that this year’s lineup is all about durability, but we didn’t think one of these handsets would get an IP69K rating. This is a big deal because rugged phones with military-grade protection are usually the ones they certify with this label.

You’ve probably heard IP68 or IP69 ratings on phones before, but IP69k is next-level stuff because these phones can stand immersion in deep water and even survive jet sprays or high temperatures. They kept the info vague, but IP69k is probably for Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus, and the other will have an IP68.

IP68 is good enough, and it’s what most flagships like S24 Ultra or iPhone 16 Pro Max use, so it’s still great to see in a mid-tier segment. There was also an official Weibo post about the series for a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 that is present on Xiaomi's latest Note models, the Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro Plus.

Speculations are high for curved AMOLEDs on their front, you can tell from their renders and teased designs. These are the only official details for now, but they usually reveal more insights right on the heels of the launch, so fingers crossed, we have yet to see more.
