Redmi Note 14 has finally made it outside China, in one of the Asian countries and we believe it shall soon arrive in Pakistan as well. To our surprise, Note 14 Global has changed and improved some of its specifications for the non-native audience.
This global Redmi Note 14 has first materialized in India and it is needless to say that many more regions are in the queue to receive the handset in a few more days. Expect Pakistan to be one of them. This is the first time it has happened, but the Chinese variant is inferior to the global Note 14 for two main reasons.
That punch hole on the Note 14’s front side is populated with a 20 MP selfie camera. It’s an upgrade over the 16MP selfie shooter found on the Note 14 (China). Instead of two lenses on the back, the Global Note 14 gives you three with a bonus ultrawide 8 MP sensor.
You also get a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main shooter on the back with a 2 MP macro. The rest of the phone is identical in China or globally. This Xiaomi latest Note model draws a 1080p resolution on a 6.67” panel while pushing pixels at a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also AMOLED, so you get those deep inky blacks and 2100 nits brightness.
This phone also has a Fingerprint ID built into the screen, rather than the side-mounted reader used for the Chinese alternative. Dimensity 7025 Ultra runs the phone with either a 6/128GB storage combo or 8/256GB, and out of the box, you get an Android 14 Hyper OS UI.
They promise two major updates for this handset. 45W charging for a 5110 mAh cell should give you a fast backup and a full day of use. Redmi Note 14 (6/128GB) starts at around $212 (~PKR 59,000), reaching $248 (~PKR 69,000) for the (8/256GB) trim.
